Speakers and Sessions

You can. Yes, you. Everyone can. Unlike a regular conference where speaking slots are allotted only to the highest bidder, Unconferences are by you, for you. If you don’t see a session here that you want, create one and present it! Share what you know and your fellow participants will do the same.

Please note: The organizers of PodcampNYC are working to ensure sessions will be recorded via video and/or audio but can’t guarantee all sessions will be covered. Along these lines, we encourage you to record your own session and send us a link so we can upload it to our wiki and make it available via a DVD/public format. If you don’t want your session recorded, that’s fine too. Just let us know.

This page will show you who has signed up to speak to date, and a bit about their session. If you’d like to present, please drop an email to the organizers at pcnyc2 (at) gmail.com with your proposal! We encourage everyone to present at Podcamp NYC 2.0, but please keep in mind the following:

1. The topic should be related to New Media.

2. Podcamp is about education and sharing, not advertising, so please do not view speaking at Podcamp as license to present an infomercial. You can talk about what you do and tools you use, but please make the focus about educating others, not just selling.

3. There is a focus on Education for Podcamp NYC 2.0 this year, and how we can use new media to rethink and reimagine the way we learn, not only in school but beyond. Can you contribute a session to this track?

4. We will place sessions into the schedule as we get closer to the event. If you have specific time constraints, let us know ASAP. Everyone will be allowed to speak as time and space allows.

Thanks for participating in Podcamp NYC 2.0, and we can’t wait to see you there!
