Hi Everyone!
I know you’re all anxious to find out what’s happening at Podcamp NYC and when. While we’re finalizing which session goes in which room and at what time, I thought I would give you a preview of what’s coming by the topic area, so you can get as excited about this event as I am!
If you have any questions, corrections, etc. let me know by dropping an email to us at pcnyc2@gmail.com. As you can imagine, the work in setting this event up is not easy, and I appreciate all your patience.
Please note-This is the definitive session list to date. (4/3/08) If you are on this list, I know about your session and have you set to be scheduled. If you are not on this list, you may have not used the Speaker registration on Eventbrite or added your session somewhere else, and you need to contact us immediately to make sure your session is included in the schedule.
Tracks at Podcamp NYC-
We’ve created some general topic tracks for Podcamp NYC- Education, Social Media, New Media, 101/Introductory, How-To, Business and Marketing, Music & Video, and General Interest. This way, education sessions, for example, will happen back to back in the same room(s) all day, making it easier to find a session on a topic you’re interested in.
Remember, Podcamp NYC follows the Podcamp Rule of Two Feet, which says if you’re not getting something out of a session, you can and should walk out and find something else to meet your needs. Podcamp is based on the principal that the wisdom of the crowd will be greater than that of the presenter, so everyone should feel free to ask questions and even challenge a speaker on points, if you so choose. Sometimes, another session might better meet your needs, and sometimes, you might find a hallway conversation with another attendee compelling. We’re even hoping to have a free room so that people can meet, record, or even create their own session if they want to, right there at Podcamp.
